Thomas L. Stewart

 

Professional Experience:

Mr. Stewart is the Director of Trial Advocacy, Clinical Professor of Law at the Saint Louis University School of Law. Professor Stewart joined the full time teaching faculty at Saint Louis University School of law in August of 2009, where he served as an Adjunct Professor of Law for thirteen years. Prior to joining the faculty full time, Professor Stewart was a trial lawyer representing both plaintiffs and defendants in products liability, medical negligence, and toxic torts cases. Tom was the 1997 recipient of the Missouri Bar’s Lon O. Hocker Award for excellence in trial advocacy, and he is a past President of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA). Tom has been a guest lecturer and taught trial advocacy for The Missouri Attorney General’s Office, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, Missouri Bar’s Trial College and Washington University MBA Programs. Tom is on the teaching faculty for The Missouri Judicial College where he gives an update on Missouri Evidence each year. In addition, Tom has served as a mediator in over 250 cases.
